I created this text and animation based on interviews with my collaborators for HOUSE: Art & Race of Collaboration. We had a series of intense and intimate conversations on race and collaborated for twelve weeks.
Toward the end of our time, I asked my collaborators to share a story about their ten-year-old self. Also, I asked them what gifts they would send to their younger self. Everyone’s gift is included in the package. This gif animation reflects their responses and my prayer that their gifts would be delivered somehow.
